Wow gorgeous wish i had someone who could make one of those lol i'm due in june and i don't know anyone other than me who does any type of needle craft type stuff. i'm teaching my friend and her daughter to crochet but other than that no quilters, crocheters, knitters, etc... We need more ppl out there!
I really like the way you've done this pattern. It's "quick and easy" but the color selections and placement make it a really good overall finished pattern too (and esp. good for donated or quickie quilt tops).
The same method should work for any focal patterned fabric, so that's one I'll be doing!... cut a large central piece from a focal fabric for each block, then surround it with strips-shapes of variations of one of the other colors in the focal fabric (in this case also the complementary color). Cool. Thanks!

great baby quilt! is it a string quilt?
Susan, Although it's probably not technically a string quilt, it's made somewhat the same way by adding random pieces to the block.
